On 19th December 2006 a cooperation agreement, which will bind the Municipality of Venice and the company Fassa Bortolo for the next 3 years, was presented in the prestigious seat Ca' Farsetti in Venice. Through this exclusive cooperation the company will take part in the cultural initiatives organized by the Municipality, i.e. the Carnival, the Festa del Redentore (Redeemer Feast) and the Historical Regatta. Furthermore "we have accepted the challenge to become partner of Venice and to invest in people and technology to contribute to preserving the heritage that we feel belonging a little bit to us as well. We hope the superintendence, professors, planners and building companies will seize the occasion to develop new products and systems able to cope with the particular and difficult conditions that they always encounter when they work in the marvellous town of Venice". With these words, the president of Fassa SpA, the leading company in Italy in the production of building materials, extended the cooperation scope to the important activity of experimentation and research for innovative solutions that are suitable for the peculiar territory of the town of Venice. This is a further example of cooperation between public and private sector, which is not something new for the company Fassa, considering the previous experiences: the restoration of the frescoes in the Palazzo dei Trecento, the historical seat of the Town Council of Treviso - Italy, and the restoration of the wall paintings in some shops situated in Via dell'Abbondanza in Pompei - Italy, which were carried out together with the local Archaeological Superintendence and the Architecture Faculty of Ferrara. On this occasion the logo was presented too, which will accompany all the communication activities concerning this important cooperation between the Town of Venice and Fassa Bortolo for the next three years. It is a significant image that combines the symbol of Venice, which is known all over the world, with the famous company's brand.
