Fassa’s experience
comes form afar.
The first mention of a member of the family employed in this work can be found in an estimate of 1710. It is an ancient tradition which has been carried on and renewed, generation after generation, to bring it to the present day, at the top in quality, technology and concern for the environment. Environmental concern is a theme which the company considers extremely important, scrupulously following the limits imposed by Italian law, limits which, as is well known, are the most severe in the European Community.
The trade mark "Fassa Bortolo" now identifies the company that has introduced and spread in Italy the premixed plasters based on lime and cement suitable for each kind of intervention in the building sector.

The silo station, a technology which FASSA was the first to apply in the sector of premixed plasters, is a practical modern and reliable system compared with the product supplied in bags: no labour is required for unloading the material when it arrives on site, or later to feed the plaster machine; the plaster is automatically transported to the point of application and can be applied continuously without dust; the powder product remains dry and stable; it also ensures a cleaner site since there are no bags or packing of any kind.
Fassa, leader in the building sector, offers a wide range of products: lime and derivates, lime and cement based plasters, lime and gypsum based plasters, smoothing for concrete, white and coloured mineral wall coverings, adhesives for building, adhesives for tiles, self-levelling floor screeds, paste colours and coverings, thermal insulation systems, solutions for restoring humid walls and degraded concrete, biological plasters, machinery and equipment for the building site.
Fassa boasts 11 production facilities in Italy operated with full respect for the environment. The vast sales network, coordinated by the head offices of the Fassa srl in Spresiano (Treviso), the distribution system and the technical support ensure the constant supply and delivery of the entire range of products, equipment and accessories in Italy and in the Italian Canton of Switzerland. In the factory in Spresiano (Treviso), besides the pre-existent facility, a new highly automated plant started the production of premixed plasters in January 1994. In the same facility there are also a Maerz kiln for producing lime and a technologically advanced plant for the production of wall paints. The headquarters are the fruit of an architectural intervention recovering the Lazzaris works which, at the beginning of the twentieth century, occupied a place in the front rank in the economic development of the province of Treviso.
