In Pompei the restoration of the wall paintings along Via dell'Abbondanza
Venus standing on a quadriga drawn by elephants on the façade of the officina coactiliaria (felter’s shop); the procession of Cybele in the officina infectoria (dye-works with furnace); electoral inscriptions in the Asellina’s Thermopolium. These are only a few details of the most representative wall paintings in Pompei. In order to recover this heritage of extraordinary historic and artistic value, the company Fassa cooperates with the Soprintendenza Archeologica di Pompei and the centre D.I.A.P.R.E.M.(Development of Integrated Automated Procedures for the Recovery of Monuments) of the Architecture
Department of the Ferrara University. Besides sponsoring the restoration works together with the American Foundation Kacyra Family, the company Fassa offers all the experience of its technical staff and the technology of its laboratories to carry out the experiments and the scientific analyses of the materials with the aim of creating specific products for this delicate project. This plan was drawn up by D.I.A.P.R.E.M. together with the Architecture Faculty Valle Giulia and the Specialization School in  Monuments Restoration at the University “La Sapienza” in Rom.
